Lugamun, short for luga komun (common language), is an easy-to-learn, logical and well-balanced auxiliary language for global usage. Its goal is to allow people who otherwise don’t share a common language to communicate effectively and on an equal footing.
Lugamun’s vocabulary and grammar are based on the most widely spoken languages from around the world. It is developed in a systematic fashion based on an algorithmic process in order to ensure a globally fair and accessible vocabulary.
The following texts have been translated into Lugamun and added to this wiki. In some cases, the translation may be an incomplete work in progress.
This website is an open wiki, jointly grown by all who want to contribute. You are welcome to create an account (using the “Register” button in the top-right corner or in the “Tools” menu) and join in. To protect against spammers, new users are only allowed to write on the naya (new) page. Please use that page to quickly introduce yourself, then you’ll be given rights to also edit the rest of the wiki.

Besides the wiki, Lugamun’s development takes places the “auxlangs” Discord server. If you want to get closer involved or talk with others who are developing and using Lugamun, please join it and find the #lugamun channel there (it’s in the “Worldwide Vocabulary” section). There are many other channels on that server, some of which may be interesting to you and others less so – you can “mute” all channels you’re not interested in, then you won’t get bothered by them.
All files (Python scripts and data) used to generate the Lugamun dictionary can be found on GitLab. This includes the final multi-lingual dictionary itself.
